Firstly, Laminate is not Hybrid Vinyl or timber flooring. It's a high quality printed image of a particular species of timber encased between a technologically advanced wear layer, made from a combination of aluminum oxide and melamine, giving exceptional resistance to scratches, dents, liquids (YES! A water-proof surface is available in all our Quick-Step ranges) and acidic substances, permanent markers, UV light - the list of benefits goes on and on!

The water resistant HDF core board is made of compressed fibres of recovered wood and is balanced with a melamine backing layer. Some of our higher-end laminate options even feature embossed textures and beveled edges that mimic the look of real wood planks - without both the environmental or personal cost to you.

Our Laminate floors are compatible with and warranted to be installed over underfloor heating.

With the right underlay, they can also be soundproof to the level/s below. This makes laminate perfect for a busy workplace, or an energetic household.
